Technical training sessions

In conjunction with the November 12/13 USA Rugby Coach Certification workshops in Schaumburg , IL , the Illinois Youth Rugby Association will be hosting technical training sessions presented by some of the leading rugby experts in the Midwest . These technical training sessions are open for all Rugby Coaches and Administrators to attended irrespective of whether they are attending the USA Rugby Workshops. There is no charge for attending these technical training sessions.

RUGBY COACHING WORKSHOPS

The iYRA will be hosting two USA Rugby Coaching Workshops on the weekend of November 12 and 13, 2011 in Schaumburg, Illinois. Anyone interested in coaching youth rugby are encouraged to attend one of these workshops. For details of the workshops and to register click here

Coaches of Men's, Women's and Collegiate clubs are encouraged to attend.

In 2012 all clubs will be required to have a certified coach!

CARFU Selects to face Wisconsin 8/6
CARFU willbe travelling to Wisconsin to face their best in a challenge match this August 6th.
Both Men's & Women's Selects and a Women's developmental side will be playing this day.
In preparation for our challenge matches, we will conduct two training sessions. The Chicago Blaze will be hosting the training sessions on Monday, 8/1 & Wednesday, 8/3. Training will start at 7:00 PM at the Blaze Fields (13011 Smith Road, Lemont).
A separate email with logistical information will go out to those that have registered for the roster. There is still time to register. If you want to play for CARFU against Wisconsin; send me an email with your name, club, position and best phone number. Thanks!

CARFU Collegiate Select Side TRYOUTS

The Women's and Men's select-side practices will be held on March 27th and April 3rd at Riverside Brookfield HS from 11am to 2pm. Practices are open to all college players. If a player is with a senior club  and his/her college does not have a club please encourage them to try out. This also includes Junior colleges etc. This will be a great experience and possible pathway to MW selection. The MW LAU tournament will be played at NIU on April 16/17.

This is a turf field and so appropriate boots/cleats should be worn.
